Trip to Paris!

Well, everyone, we got back from Paris and i must say we had a blast! So here’s what happened on our journey to the city of lights 
Well, we got there at the morning or afternoon, i forgot, and my mom’s cousin had rented out this tiny mobile home at this camping ground for us. It was small, but we were only in those for about five hours, because we were out in the city all day. Anyway, so we unpack and we decide to hit the town on our first day. We went up the Arc de Triomph and the view was beautiful! Next we went and saw the Eiffel tower. It was really big, for lack of a better term. We never went up it, but we still enjoyed looking at it for the hundreds of times we passed the colossal tower. The next day we kicked off the bright morning by going to the Louvre. The only way i have to describe this place is a “labyrinth of art.” I’m serious; the Louvre is an absolute network of sign-less halls. Betsy, Lucy, Ben, Becky and I got lost for a half an hour and we finally found our way out. After that we went to Notre Dame. It was a big church…seriously. We didn’t go up it, same like the Eiffel tower, but we still enjoyed going inside. In the afternoon we picked up a guy named Adam. He and Betsy were amigos and he was an intern in Ireland. He was on holiday so he tagged along with us. After we picked him up we went to the holocaust museum. It was kinda depressing, honestly. The following morning, my dad rented a car and we went to the one place in the world that I have wanted to go for years…Normandy. It took us three hours to get there and it was worth every second. There were thousands of white graves above the beach. It was a bit sorrowful. We walked down to the beach and i couldn’t believe i was there. We got to roam Omaha beach and climb inside German bunkers, which were totally awesome, might i add. Then the next day we went to Le Gerbe. Le Gerbe is a French humanitarian organization that sends us stuff. We got to look around inside the building and stuff, which was cool and then we went to Phillipe’s house. Phillipe is the guy my dad knows that’s part of the organization. His family was really nice and his wife made an awesome meal. Then we went back to Paris and ventured throughout the city for a while. Some time, i forgot when, we went to Sacre Coeur. It was the most awesomest, I know it’s not a word, church ever. It had the best view of the city, i think. Another time, again, i can’t remember when, we went to the Rodin museum. He is now my favorite sculpturist. Hew did the Thinker and the Gates of Hell, which were awesome. But the thing about his sculptures that peeked my interest were his hands. He did the most exquisite hands I have ever seen. My favorite part of the city was the Champs Elysee. The street was beautiful and bright. My second favorite was Pont Neuf. It was beautiful too. Anyway, so we left the next day and we had a great time.
