Luciano Pavarotti: Dead.

Today, Luciano Pavarotti, a world-famous tenor, died at the age of 71. He was born in Modena, Itlay a performed in hundreds, perhaps thousands of opera performances, not to mention sung alongside of other world-famous singers.

If anyone is interested (and if you have FTV), there is a documentary on tonight about him at 10:30.

I can't believe it's "The End"!!!!

Ok people, today on August 9, 2007 mine and Becky's spanish soap opera, Rebelde's Way, ended!!!!!

It was daunting knowing it was the end of the show. Marizza and Pablo finally got back together! Lujan finally hopoked up with Marco's after episodes of depression. And, oh my goodness, when Manuel came back and gave that speech to Mia about how he was sorry he cheated and that he loved her. AHHH!!! *sniffle*

Anyway, now Becky and I do not have anything to watch now...

Other than that, i noticed that i have not posted in a long time, so here is the run-down of what's been happening.

For my 18th brithday, My fam, except my father, Lauren, Janelle, John, Tiffany (and we met up with Michael) went to Vienna to see one of my favourite operas, The Magic Flute! It was AmAzInG!

Other than that we had our two cousins, Collier and Lola, here for a while, with our aunt and uncle also. We all went to Venice for two days. It was fun :D

Other than that, nothing really has gone on. We started school again.

Anyway, i hope you enjoy the pictures :D All of them are of the opera, the last one is all of us afterwards at a cafe eating cake (which is what you do after an opera, so our friend told us :D)!

"What's Going On, Will?" "We'll, I'll Tell You"

So, today was a trying day for me. I had to move a bunch of wooden boards from point A to point B (location is insignificant) while earwigs crawled all over them. Why God alopud these freaky little demon bugs to crawl straight out of hell into this world is beyond me. (If you have not caught on, i hate earwigs!).
Anyway, me, Becky and Ben just got back from Split where we were hanging out with Suspencer, Chelsea and their friend from Budapest, Mason. We basically had an awesome time!
So, tomorrow's my birthday. The big 18 for me!!! Wish me luck everyone!

Ok so lately....

Well, I saw "Pirates of the Carribean 3" tonight and it was pretty good. I agree with Chels that it was better than the second.
So, other than that nothing is really going on. I can't wait for the Lock-In next weekend.
So, I am going to end this post with words of wisdom, take heed, because they might save your life one day:

"Do not get involved with pirates. Because next thing you know your heart will be cut out and you won't be able to see your wife, the pirate queen, for ten years"

Kristfest!

So, here is what I did on Sunday, May 20th!

I had found out that Kutless (My absolute FAVORITE christian rock band!) was playing at a Kristfest (an annual concert thing) in Osijek, Croatia!
I must say, i was beside myself with excitment!!!
So, Lauren, Janelle, John, my parents, Ben, Becky, Jed and I all went up to Osijek, Coratia yesterday!
So, when we got into the city we all ate Mcdonalds and after we ate we sat in Mcdonalds wiritng Kutless all over ourselves just to be supportive and it was really fun!
Then, after Mcdonalds we tried to find the place where Krisfest was going to be, whcih took us about 30 minutes :)
It was in the old part of town and we all got in fine, excpet my father who slept in the van the whole time. The concert started at 7 and we got there at about 5 or 5:30. So we waited a while.
One of the bands playing was named "Fireflight" and they were from Florida, so while the band themselves were setting up their mechandise, Lauren went over and had a ncie chat with them. They were basically awesome!
So other than talk to "Fireflight" we just walked around looking at the empty stage and I was waiting for Kutless to come! AHHG, i was excited!!!
So, when it was about 30 minutes before the concert, while Janelle and I were just talking next to the stage, Jed comes running at me and pulls my arm to come here. So, i walka ll the way over to the "Firlfight" stand and one of the band members tells me to go with him, so i follow. He goes behind these guys guardiung a door where the bands are and the guy stops me, btu the guy from "Fireflight" tells the guy i can come. So, i take another two stpes and the guitarist for "Kutless" looks at me, smiles and shakes my hand.
Then, next thing i know the whole band, excpet the lead singer who came out a little later, was talking with us, asking us where we lived how long we lived there. I may not have breathed the whole time i stood there, i'm not really sure. But when the lead singer came out he shook hands wqith everyone, but me, i was behind everyone, far too nervous to shake hands!
So he talked with us a bit and they all went back.
So, That was an INCREDIBLE expericne for me. I had been waiting three years to go to a concert of theirs and not only do i get to go to one, i got to meet them!!!
So, first badn that played was a german band named "Sarah Brendel", they were cool!
Next was a british band named "Verra Cruz" who were awesome also. We got to talkw tih the lead singer after the concert for a bit, he was cool!
Then came out "Kutless", THEY.WERE.AWESOME!!!!!!
I mean i was banging my head, singing the songs, it was AMAZING!!!!!
There will be a videos and pictures of the concerton my xanga if you wanna see em :D
Anyway, we basically had an AWESOME time at the concert!

Lately :D

So, what's been going on lately here? Well, for one, the Trowbridges, three days ago, were so very kind enough to let me borrow their cello for the summer!!!!!

I have wanted to play the cello for a while, but the thing that really got me to REALLY want to get one is watching Elizabeth Price play it one evening (she was awesome) and i guess she was the last step of inspiration i needed to get one :D

As you can see, its a beautiful cello and i have been having lots of fun with it.

I have learned, from the books the Prices so kindly let me borrow, and thank you Mrs. Price for showing me all that stuff, it was really helpful, all the notes i can play with four fingers on each string (which is the basic fingering, i think, i wouldnt really know, im my own teacher;))and have started playing stuff like Moon River, Phantom of the Opera, a little part of Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 and other cool stuff. I have actually played so much that my finger tips are purple, but that's good. CALLOUSES!!!

On that happy note :D, nothing is really going on here except school and the Banquet is coming up, which reminds me, i should be working on my mask....oops :)
